Q.1 HOW TO USE CROSS REFERENCE IN BUSINESS CENTRAL ?

This is a link between your customer and vendor with your Item so instead of selecting Item No. you can directly select Item Cross Reference No. in Sales and Purchase Lines.

Q2. HOW MANY TYPES OF DISCOUNTS ARE THERE IN BUSINESS CENTRAL?

There are mainly 3 types of discounts available.

1. Invoice Discount
2. Line Discounts
3. Customer/Vendor Discount

Q3. HOW TO USE NON STOCK ITEMS IN BUSINESS CENTRAL?IS THERE ANY SETUP EXIST?

For Non Stock items system will not create any inventory when it is sold or purchased but the unit cost and unit price at which it is trasacted will be stored in Ledger.

Yes there is a setup related to this called as Non Stock Item Setup

Q4. HOW TO USE PHYSICAL INVENTORY JOURNAL IN BUSINESS CENTRAL?

System has Phys. Inventory journal page. On that page click on Calculate Inventory Report is present which will genrate lines in hournal and End user will take a print of this report and do physical counting.

Q6 What is ProviderID property in NAV?

This property is used to link Factbox data with main page. You can check this property on your Sales Order , Vendor Ledger Entry Page.

Q7 What is INITRECORD Function?

This Fucntion is used mainly after No. Series is initiated. You can review this function and modify if any thing you need after the no. series is initialized.

This is a very useful function for developers.

It is used to test a value in a field if there is no value in it it will test BLANK for the particular field.

The main difference is Specific uses a serialized item so Item tracking must be defined. But Standard will use cost defined by end user who will assign according to him as per cost accccrued by the item which can include item cost + landing +transport +profit etc.

Q13 What is the difference between unit price and unit cost?

Unit Price is Sales Price and Unit cost is purchase price.

Q14 Difference between Service and Non Stock Items in NAV?

Non Stock Item will not be available for BOM but Service Item can manage with BOM. And use Service Item in manufacturing you can use it.

Q15 How to create template in NAV for eg. Item , Customer, Vendor?

Options are available on all masters.

Q16 What are Item attributes and Item Variants?

Item attributes are the special characteristics of an inventory and variants are same items but different in size or physically.

Q17 Can we make chart of accounts list page editable?

Yes  its possible in Business Central Dynamics 365.

Q18 How to receive partial Quantity in D365 BC?

Put Qty value in Sales Line or Purchase Line in Qty to Receive or Qty to Invoice.

On Action Pane of Purchase order we need to select Recipts it will show only Purchase recipts related to that PO.

Q20 Difference B/W correct/delete/cancel function on Credit Memo?

Correct will posted a Reverse Credit Memo and will create a new Invoice for you.

Delete will post a reverse Credit memo only

Cancel will reverse the credit memo and Invoice also.
